MBOMBELA-The South Africa Revenue Services (SARS) has once again appealed to all taxpayers to ensure that they make better usage of the extension of the date to submit their tax returns.

People are also advised to use the e-filling system through the internet as it is much easier and works 24 hours. Failing to meet the deadline, people must be ready to pay the penalties for non-compliance.

The penalty amount imposed varies depending on the taxpayer’s table of income, starting from R250 to R16 000 per month for all the outstanding months.

In the Nelspruit branch, it has transpired that the staff has been working overtime and even weekends since July in a bid to serve all the people in need of the service.
