Women’s league pronounce itself for NDZ

The ANC Women’s League in Mpumalanga endorsed Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for president and premier David Mabuza as her deputy at the provincial executive committee meeting.

MBOMBELA – After a lengthy provincial executive committee meeting of the local ANC Women’s League last Friday, the four regions announced that they have nominated former African Union chairperson, Ms Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for president and premier Mr David Mabuza as her deputy in preparation for the 54th ANC National Conference to be held at Nasrec in December.

“After lengthy deliberations and consideration of ‘Through the eye of a Needle’, as a guiding document in choosing the best cadres to lead radical economic transformation, the ANCWL in Mpumalanga has unanimously and collectively agreed on the above two nominations, including another four nominations for the top-six positions and some provincial names to be included as additional members in the ANC national structure,” said provincial spokesperson, Ms Thandi Shongwe.

The four other nominations are as follows: national chairperson, Mr Nathi Mthethwa; secretary general, Mr Ace Magashule; deputy secretary general, Ms Jessie Duarte; and treasurer general, Ms Maite Nkoane-Mashabane.

Additional members: Ms Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Ms Violet Siwela, Ms Regina Mhaule, Ms Lina Malatjie, Ms Dories Dlakude, Ms Tiny Mthimunye, Mr David Mahlobo, Mr Vusi Shongwe, Mr Desmond Moela, Mr Ronald Lamola, Mr Taylor Nsimbini and Mr Jabu Mahlangu.
