Man arrested for allegedly murdering girlfriend’s son

ZWELISHA – Yesterday a boyfriend was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend’s seven-year-old son early this year. The whole saga unfolded when the suspect questioned his girlfriend about why she did not fall pregnant.

It is alleged that the girlfriend said she was not ready to have another child at that stage because she wanted to focus on her studies as she is a student at the University of Mpumalanga. A quarrel ensued, the suspect took the boy to another bedroom where he allegedly covered his face with a pillow and shot him.

The spokesperson for the Pienaar Police Station, Capt Jabu Ndubane said they managed to arrest the suspect after receiving a tip-off from the community.

After the suspect killed the boy, he allegedly took all the photos the girlfriend possessed so that police had difficulty identifying him.

Furthermore, he allegedly committed other criminal activities around Pienaar and Matsulu.
