No arrest for man who raped girlfriend’s daughter

MASOYI – A boyfriend who allegedly raped his  girlfriend’s four-year old stepdaughter at Jerusalem last week has still not been arrested.
Mpumalanga News learnt that the suspect has not been arrested because the mother of the victim was not willing to cooperate with the police. It is alleged that the toddler blew the whistle to her aunt as she was complaining about severe pains in her private parts. Her aunt took her to Rob Ferreira hospital.

Information at the police’s disposal indicated that results have still not been released because the doctors want to speak to the mother of the victim.

Const Nanikie Nonyane said this is a serious case. “The suspect has not been arrested, we need to get a warrant of arrest, but the process is delaying because the mother of the victim is not willing to talk about the matter and the doctors said they want to talk to the mother regarding the results,” she explained.
