Former deputy minister of Higher Education and Training Mduduzi Manana’s sentencing was set to be delivered today at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court. However, the court postponed the sentencing to tomorrow after his lawyer Michael Bill said they need to peruse a probation report before they can continue. He also said there is also a correctional services report which he has not gone through and considered.

A video footage surfaced on social media of Manana assaulting a woman at a nightclub in Johannesburg after he lost his temper when the victim said he was gay. But social media users do not have faith that justice will be served because of several reasons.
