Cyril Ramaphosa announces Naledi Pandor as his deputy presidential candidate

Speaking at a rally outside Groblersdal yesterday, Ramaphosa also confirmed that former KwaZulu-Natal ANC chairperson, Senzo Mchunu was contesting the secretary general position. Other members of his slate include Gwede Mantashe for the chairperson position and current Gauteng ANC chairperson, Paul Mashatile for the treasurer general position.

The announcement comes during the leadership campaign for the African National Congress’s elective conference in December.

The deputy president took his campaign to Mpumalanga and Limpopo during the weekend where he urged supporters to rally behind Science and Technology Minister, Naledi Pandor for deputy president. He also vowed to build an ANC that is stronger and renewed.
