Well wishes for Mpumalanga matrics in their final examination

Messages of well wishes were sent out to the future leaders.

Over 70 000 learners in Mpumalanga have started with their National Senior Certificate (NSC) final exams today. This is the highest number of Grade 12 learners that have ever sat for the examination in the history of the province.

Messages of well wishes were sent out to the future leaders.

The African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga

The ANC sends its well wishes to the learners in the province who will sit for their National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams. The 2017 enrolment has increased from 67802 in 2016 to 70257.
“The increase in number of learners is a development we welcome because it evidence that ANC policies continue to increase access to education for our people, in particular the poor. “

“We urge learners to give these exams their best and study as much as it is practically possible. They must not take this golden opportunity for granted. We are all acutely aware that we come from a history where education was designed to isolate and exclude the majority from any prospects of success.”

“Township schools were built with minimal resources and in the rural areas communities were forced to build their own mud schools. After 23 years the ANC government has made vast improvements in changing this cruel history and the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, under Premier DD Mabuza, continues to build state of the schools to change this unfortunate legacy.”

“As the ANC we are encouraged by the progress the Department of Education has registered. Not only increasing the number of learners in school but also improving the quality of teaching and learning in our schools. This has been displayed by the high percentage of learners that pass grade 12. To the ANC this is extremely important because Statistic South Africa continues to inform us that with the necessary skills South Africans are better placed to find work than when they do not have the requisite skills.”

“We would like to request all sections of society, in particular, our hard-working teachers, parents, guardians, school principals, department of education officials at all levels and the community at large, to provide our learners with the necessary support. They must also make sure that they create an environment that allows learners to perform to the best of their abilities. We also urge officials of the department of education to perform their work diligently and ensure that we run a credible examination, which is free of unfortunate incidents.”

The GladAfrica Foundation Trust.

“We would like to wish the Class of 2017 all the best as they start with their exams. No one can take education away from you. Make education a priority and remember you have an opportunity to learn and use it. You do not have to look at your background, focus on the future. For those who are interested in the engineering sector, as an organisation, we have opportunities available for them to further their studies.”

The Medical Women of South Africa (MWASA)

“We want to encourage young girls to consider studying medicine, we need more female doctors in the country.”
