He appeared at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court this morning after sentencing was postponed after the defence was not ready to proceed with closing arguments.
The victim was 16 years old at the time of the incident. A family member also confirmed in July that she(victim) has been trying trying to cope with the ordeal and was currently in therapy to get help.
The magistrate gave a detailed testimony from the victim in his ruling on her bleeding as she was still a virgin before the incident and was in pain, he also mentioned that the victim had been told by Brickz to take a bath after the rape and had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
Brickz’ legal team immediately said it would be appealing the conviction as well as the sentence.
