DELMAS- The D25z road near Brakfontein in the Delmas area is closed due to storm damage.
This happened after the road was seriously damaged by heavy storms yesterday.
“The road joins the R50 road (between Delmas and Leandra) and is mostly used by people who frequent the mines around the area.
Rescue teams were immediately sent to ascertain if there were any people affected during this incident as illegal mining is rife in the area,” explained Joseph Mabuza spokesperson for the department of community safety,security and liaison.
Mabuza adds that the department of road and transport is still to do its assessment on the road. He urged motorists to use alternative gravel roads around the area.
