Man arrested for possession of counterfeit sneakers
A man was found in possession of counterfeit sneakers worth more than R5 million at Karino yesterday.
Phoenix Security received a tip-off regarding a truck that was travelling from Komatipoort towards Mbombela. The security company tracked the truck and notified the White River police.
When it reached Karino, the security guards signalled the driver to pull over and searched the vehicle. Counterfeit sneakers worth more than R5 million was found, and the suspect was arrested.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Thursday
