Health Department takes Services closer to the people
The Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi will be accompanied by other senior government leaders, the Rotary leadership and representatives from other stakeholders.
This year, National Department of Health (NDoH), in partnership with the Rotarians for Family Health & Aids Prevention (RFHA), will be taking community outreach programme to Thulamahashe and surrounding communities in Mpumalanga.
The outreach is part of annual Rotary Family Health Days (RFHD) Campaign – a Public Private Partnership between the Department of Health, the Rotarians for Family Health & Aids Prevention (RFHA), and other stakeholders meant to promote access to free full package of health screening services for all family members.
The event will take place tomorrow ( Tuesday, 3 October 2017) at Thulamahashe Stadium at 1 pm.
This interactive health screening outreach will be rolled-out simultaneously in 120 sites across South Africa, especially in disadvantaged communities where such services are not easily accessible. The target for this year is to reach 100 000 people through free comprehensive health and wellness screening services at all the sites over a period of three days: 3 – 5 October 2017.
