Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Pat Ngomane has sent condolences to families of 10 people who died in two separate crashes that occurred today.
Seven people died in Verena when a bakkie overturned and five people were seriously injured and are receiving treatment at Philadelphia Hospital.The injured include the driver of the bakkie.
In another incident, a truck and sedan collided on the R50 Road near Delmas and three people were killed.

Ngomane has urged road users to exercise great caution in order to avoid these fatal and costly crashes. He has also wished those who were injured a speedy recovery.
It is not clear what led to the two crashes, but investigations are underway.
