MTPA hosts workshop for small tourism businesses

The purpose of the workshop was to give small tourism business owners an opportunity to be coached on business ethics.

More than hundred small tourism business owners gathered at the Govan Mbeki Local Municipality Town Hall in Bethal, for the Small, Medium and Micro-enterprises (SMME) Fair, Exhibition & Workshop hosted by Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) on Thursday.
The purpose of the workshop was to give small tourism business owners an opportunity to be coached on business ethics. And for various stakeholders to get an opportunity to interact with each other.

Business owners were encouraged to grab opportunities that will promote tourism in the province and the country as a whole. “Young people are suffering because they don’t want to grab opportunities, they depend on government to give them jobs. It is time they learn to grab opportunities that will create jobs and also contribute to the growth of the economy,’’ said the Govan Mbeki Executive Mayor, Cllr Flora Maboa-Boltman.
