Service delivery protest continues at Dludluma

The residents of Dludluma have blocked the bridge at Ngwenyeni and there has been no teaching and learning in the local schools.

DLUDLUMA- Learners have been affected by the ongoing protest that started on Monday. The residents of Dludluma have blocked the bridge at Ngwenyeni and there has been no teaching and learning in the local schools.
This is after the protesters refused to be addressed by the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Ms.Sasekani Manzini on Monday.

The residents embarked on a service delivery protest on Monday complaining about service delivery in the area. They say they want a tarred road and the government is not giving them answers. On Monday they were told that they will get a response after 14 days, but protesters didn’t want to hear any of it, instead they told Manzini that they want to be addressed by the premier Mr, DD Mabuza, not her.

”Until they bring us Mr. Mabuza to address us and give us proper answers, we are not going to stop protesting, they told us that the Premier is not around, we will wait for him,” they said.
