Learners who won the provincial debate to go national.

The Mpumalanga Province has identified 10 learners that will represent the province at the National Road Safety Debates at North West Province later this year. 

The competition is for secondary schools and will be held under the support of the National Department of Transport and the Road Traffic Management Cooporation (RTMC). All nine provinces are expected to participate.

The 10 learners were identified on Saturday at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Mkhuhlu. Learners came from different regions, Bohlabela, Ehlanzeni, Gert Sibande and Nkangala. The debate was on two motions, the effectiveness of the National Road Safety Strategy to deal with road crashes and the fragmentation of road safety efforts at different levels of government.

The Mpumalanga province finalists are Innocent Mathebula and Mbali Mhlongo (Gert Sibande Region), Pennuel Nkosi, Lindiwe Ndlovu and Vusi Msiza (Nkangala Region), Bohlokwa Mahlalela and Kopano Sehlabela (Bohlabela Region), Njabulo Dlamini, Simphiwe Mahlangu and Nolwazi Gama Dlamini (Ehlanzeni Region).
