Assault teacher to appear in court today
The teacher who was arrested on Thursday for brutally assaulting her 12-year-old niece will be making her appearance today before the Matsulu Magistrate's Court.
She assaulted her niece last week and pictures of her wounded on her back circulated on social media. She is facing charges of assault with the intention to cause grievous
bodily harm
Police say that they were made aware by a citizen who came to the police station reporting that there was a child that has been brutally assaulted. The child has been moved to a safe place as investigations continue. The police believe that there is a possibility that this is not the first time the incident happens.
