Lodges urged to meet required accommodation standards

Both domestic and international tourists are expected to flood the province this coming tourism month.

Besides enjoying the beauty of the province, visitors will need accommodation services at the end of the day to unwind and relax.
During the launch of the tourism month and media tour in Dullstroom, minister of tourism, Thokozile Xasa called on B&B’s and other accommodation facilities to upgrade their facilities to meet the required standards. “Tourists should be home away from home in your facilities” she said.

One of the province’s exciting lodges, which recently accommodated 20 journalists who toured the province, feeds 100% of its electricity from solar geysers installed in their premises.
“We are an award winning lodge of the Lilizela from 2013 until today,Tsogo Sun Guest House of the Year 2014, PMR Africa Diamond Arrow for past four years,” says Carol Sanderson, owner of Casambo Lodge.
They also hold monthly Jam Sessions on the last Sunday of each month to promote local talent.#wedotourism
