Legendary musician laid to rest.
Male choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo paid tribute to the late Ray Phiri.
Mbombela- Friends, families and music fans have gathered today at the Mbombela Stadium to say their last goodbyes to Ray Phiri. Tributes are pouring in from family and friends of the musician.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo paid their tributes with a song; “we have known Ray Phiri along time ago, we have worked with him even at the beginning of their Group Isitimela. as Lady Smith Black Mambazo we are saying condolences to the Ray Phiri family.”
Aunt Gcinaphi, Ray s’ Sister said they have seen the good that her brother has left behind ”as his sister i have learnt a lot from him.” she pleaded with Ray Phiri s’ children to follow their fathers footsteps. She also thanked the Government for giving their brother a Dignified Funeral.
