Local police station without landlines again

The landlines have been out of order for over two weeks now at Kanyamazane.

This leaves residents who want to report criminal activities to travel from as far eNtokozweni and Tekwane to join long station queues.

This is not the first time the station’s landlines were reported to have been offline. Eight months ago we reported on the same matter.

Lt Jabu Ndubane, spokesperson for the Pienaar Cluster, confirmed that the telephone lines are not working, stating there had been cable theft in the station

She added that the matter had been reported to the relevant authorities.

“The public can reach us on the cellphone number, 082-923-0677,” she stated.
