Lifers put on hold hunger strike

Offenders are looking forward to meeting with the deputy minister, Mr Thabang Makwetla

BARBERTON – Inmates at medium B correctional centre told Mpumalanga News that they have put the hunger strike on hold.

This comes after they met with the area commissioner, Mr Solly Nestshivhazwaulu who promised that the deputy minister of correctional services, Mr Thabang Makwetla promised to meet the offenders next week Wednesday to address some of the challenges that they faced.
