Mpumalanga celebrates compliant initiation ceremony
The celebration of initiates coming back from the mountains attracted hundreds of community members of KwaMhlanga and surrounding areas
KWAMHLANGA- The Basotho Tribe hosted a ceremony for 408 initiates who all returned safe and healthy.
Kgoshi Speedy Mashilo assured the community that it was a successful initiation season attributing it to the values taught to young men. “We respect our culture hence this process includes teaching initiates to be responsible and not to abuse women. I’m confident that they will carry out their duties well and be respectable men in the society,” said Kgoshi Mashilo.
