MBOMBELA – A series of activities was also planned to take place in the province to make the month an exciting one.
Among other events on the calendar, the youth will be afforded the opportunity to interact with the premier, David Mabuza, together with his executive council.
The chairman of the desk, Mr Desmond Moela said about 2 000 young people will be afforded an opportunity to interact with the premier and MECs.
“We are taking things in a different direction this year. Last year we hosted summits all over the province, this year we are focusing on responding to all the issues that were raised then,” said Moela. He also said that the desk was shifting the focus to agriculture to help the youth realise that its a field worth pursuing and can bear fruit.
The MEC for the Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation, Ms Norah Mahlangu-Mabena, said her department will take to the streets to engage with young people this month.
