ALERT: Fake video of assault in Msholozi surfaces

It has come to our attention that this video was in fact not taken recently, and is also not in South Africa. We encourage our readers not to make false claims when sending us information. We also want to thank those who brought the misleading information to our attention.
Mpumalanga News received the video below of a woman being brutally assaulted and whipped with a plank by a man. It is believed that the incident took place in Msholozi.
A crying child can be also heard in the video. This incident is upsetting as many incidents reported of women are abused and killed by some men.
“I have no resources to help this woman but, I thought the least I could do, is to report it to someone who has the means to investigate and locate this woman in that small community. This video should also be forwarded to the police. I strongly feel that it is time to make a change to stop this abuse. We do not want animals in our society,” said Shirly Khoza who forwarded the video to the publication.
We need your help to locate this man and apprehend him to the authorities. Women and children do not deserve this inhumane behaviour within our society. Let take a stand, locate this man and bring him to book.
