MBOMBELA – Delegates from various stakeholders came in their numbers to the two-day Economic Summit hosted by Ehlanzeni District Municipality held at Emnotweni Arena.
The aim of the summit, graced by the deputy minister of economic development, Mr Madala Masuku is to share ideas that will assist in taking the economy of the district to another level.

Opening the summit officially, the executive mayor of the district, Cllr Jester Sidell said a growing economy is what determines that our dreams become a reality.

“We need to strengthen our working relationship with all our stakeholders that play an important role in building the economy so that our dreams can become a reality.
We must not play around because the people sleep with empty stomachs, people are poverty-stricken and unemployment is a serious problem, I believe that all the delegates that are here with us today will find all the mechanisms to address how to develop the economic situation of the district,” said Sidell.
