Africa Day celebration is a reminder of where we come from as Africans
"Today let’s make an introspection of ourselves and look back where we come from," says the house of traditional leaders
MBOMBELA – The provincial house of traditional leaders says Africa Day is a reminder of our origins.
Speaking to this newspaper, the chairperson of the house, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena said even though this day is very important, but it’s very sad that these days Africans no longer have the spirit of “Ubuntu”.
“It a good thing that we have democracy, which means that we can celebrate all important days in the history of the country.

The challenge that we have is that people don’t understand what the day means, judging from the cruel society that we are living in, women and children are raped and brutally killed. Back in the days, African men were known as the protectors and heads of the families.

It’s high time for all citizens to make an introspection of themselves, especially men as we are celebrating Africa Day, just ask yourself: Are you a real African man,?” said Mokoena.
