“Labour brokers are modern day slavery system ” says SACP’s Bonakele Majuba

MBOMBELA – The provincial secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Mr Bonakele Majuba says the country still has a long way to go in paying more attention to challenges that are faced by workers, especially in farms.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News about Workers Day, Majuba emphasised that the SACP is not going to bow down until they win the battle of doing away with labour brokers.

“Today is a very important day for workers, but we still have a long way to go in fighting the modern slavery system of labour brokers and the bad treatment of farm workers and farm evictions which is still a serious problem,” he said.
