ANC supporters back outside Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court
The investing officer Detective Sgt Percy Nkambule told the court yesterday that the initial house robbery case was changed to a murder case after finding out that Shongwe was not telling the truth.
ANC supporters clad in the party’s gear continued to protest outside Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court this morning against the bail application of the late Vusi Mona’s wife, Simangele Shongwe.

Shongwe’s defence lawyer is expected to cross examine the investigating officer, Detective Sgt Percy Nkambule and state his (lawyer) reasons why Shongwe should be granted bail.
The court gallery is also full to the capacity with Mona’s family, friends and supporters, some wearing black T-shirts with Mona’s face and the message ‘Justice shall take its course RIP Vusi Mona’.
Vusi Mona was found dead in his Ford Ranger in Kanyamazane on February 14.
