Joyous celebration to perform in Mozambique

The group recently recorded their 21st album in Bishop TD Jake's sanctuary in Dallas, United States

The gospel music giants, Joyous Celebration will perform live for the first time in Mozambique on April 1.

The group are set to bring the Zimpeto National Stadium alive and want you to join them. They will perform songs from their 20th album and other songs from previous albums.

 

Pastor Jabu Hlongwane says they have been invited by Laftin company and are thrilled about the visit. “We want people who support Joyous Celebration in Neslpruit to come and join us in Mozambique. It will be great to have support that comes from home,” said Hlongwane.

New band member, Khaya Sibanyoni, says he is thrilled to be a member of the admired group. Guitarist Frank Mavhimira and keyboard player Mpho Junior Petja are also new.
“I am excited. I see this as a platform to grow, led by amazing leaders, I am more than humbled to be part of the group,” says Sibanyoni.

Nomthi Sibisi who has been with the group since 2009, says her journey has been remarkable. “It also has been challenging because each time you go on stage, you need to make sure you do your best,” she says.

Hlongwane adds that Joyous Celebration supporters should look forward to new things during this tour. “We always up our game in every aspect. We do shows that were never done before such as colossal stage, cordless mics, LED screens. Our supporters should look forward to that,” he mentions.

The group recently recorded their 21st album in Bishop TD Jake’s sanctuary in Dallas, United States. The group is encouraging their supporters to join them in Mozambique by purchasing tickets at Computicket Maputo. Tickets will be issued at the entrance. Joyous merchandise will also be sold.
