MBOMBELA – DA in the province has called upon premier David Mabuza to do justice to the people of the province and remove the MEC for health, Mr Gillion Mashego.
The provincial chairperson, Ms Jane Sithole during the DA Mpumalanga rescue plan 2019 launch.
She indicated that Mashego failed dismally to improve services at public health institutions.
“The issue of cadre deployment is a serious problem, people who are not competent are deployed in high positions and are failing to deliver. Mashego has failed the people of the province a lot.
Hospitals and clinics are in a bad state and he is failing deliver. There is a shortage of staff and poor infrastructure. Not so long ago staff at Themba hospital went on strike.
That’s a sign that he doesn’t know what he is doing in the department. He must stop making empty promises he doesn’t fulfill,” said Sithole
