“Up your game”, says Premier

The African National Congress Youth League and Women's League were told to work closely with poor struggling women and the destitute youth by the Premier, Mr David Mabuza.

MBOMBELA –   Concerns were raised by provincial chairperson of the ANC, Mr David Mabuza, on Saturday during the ANC’s lekgotla held at the Nutting House Lodge.

“What are you doing on a daily basis as women are suffering? Women’s situations need delivery. Up your game. The youth league should also up its game as you seem not to understand today’s youth. I realised something when Cassper Nyovest performed at our birthday celebration at Mbombela.

“I realised we have a mammoth problem on our hands as they danced and sang along with him, word for word. If we want to speak to them, then we must find them at such places and bring them back. If we want to save them, we must dance with them and transform them into revolutionaries in their own space, but we must be careful to balance the scales because they become bored easily. It is on that vein that I expect this lekgotla to be focused on practicable deliverables that will alleviate society of unemployment, poverty and inequality,” he ended.
