No state funeral for Lundi

According to reports, Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa has visited the family and asked their spokesperson and Lundi’s manager, Anele Hlazo, about any shortages for funeral arrangements, but without any mention of a state funeral.

The late Lundi Tyamara will be buried on Sunday

Gospel artist, Sfiso Ncwane received a state funeral last year, unfortunately Lundi Tyamara will not get one.

It is reported that his family had not applied for a state funeral. The late gospel singer’s manager, Anele Hlazo says he was not aware it had to be applied for.

WATCH: Lundi’s memorial service

A memorial service was held for him at the Grace Bible Church on Tuesday. His funeral service will be held at Zwelethemba Community Hall in Worcester, Western Cape, on Sunday morning.
