Controversial Mamba fundraises for his community
We promote education because I’m also a product of education
ANC councillor for Ward-45 in the City of Mbombela, Cllr Mandla Mamba says the abject poverty at his ward leads to many social ills.
He said such poverty led to many young people being financially excluded from accessing education. This has prompted Mamba to launch a go-back-to-school campaign.
“This campaign (back-to-school campaign) solely includes fundraising and the money seeks to address the issues of those kids who wish to go to school, but fail due to lack of funds.
We promote education because I’m also a product of education,” added Mamba, who is a lawyer by profession.

As part of raising the needed funds on Sunday, Mamba and several youth members, which some claim to have been involved in some social ills, held a car washing project at Ka-Chunda residence. The residence houses children attending studies at Barberton TVET College.
Mamba said the funds raised during the car wash event will go towards the needy children requiring furthering their studies.
