Criminals steal from school

Stationery and papers were scattered on the floor, the air conditioner was stolen from outside and the remaining one was tampered with.

MSHOLOZI – While schools around the province excitedly opened their doors for the year 2017, Boschrand Primary School teachers had to run around opening criminal cases after the school was broken into during the holidays.

Principal, Mr Peter Moreku, said he was stunned to find the staff room ransacked with papers and stationery lying idly on the floor. The door was also broken.
“Stationery and papers were scattered on the floor, the air conditioner was stolen from outside and the remaining one was tampered with,” he said.

He added that three radios and plumbing tools were also stolen.

Moreku said this was the first break-in at the school and they were lucky that all computers and tablets were not left at the school.

A case of house robbery was reported at the White River police.
