The tyre bust left some commuters frustrated, accusing Buscor of not maintaining their buses.

Commuters travelling between Barberton and Mbombela on a daily basis say hardly a week pass without a Buscor bus ferrying commuters breaking down in this route.

They say this at times results at them getting late to work and school.

Buscor spokesman, Mr Vian Ndlovu says it was true that of late they have witness more punctures on their busses.

“The reason for the rise on the punctures is the roadworks that are taking place and the potholes in our operational area. It is not that maintenance has gone down,” said Ndlovu.
