Ligwalagwala FM Dj scoops award

MBOMBELA – Ligwalagwala FM’s Fortune Ntekati has made the province proud, he was recently crowned the King of Mpumalanga at the South African Hip Hop Music Awards held at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Speaking to the King himself, he could not contain his excitement, as he was laughing throughout “First I would love to thank Ligwalagwala FM for giving me such a platform. I’m very grateful to be part of the family. I’m where I am today because of them, also I want to thank my fans for their unconditional love and support throughout the year.”

“I’m humbled and honoured to have such a support structure. This award is not only for me but my fans who having been voting for me since the nominations were announced,” said Ntekati
Ntekati further explained that he has been on radio since 2008 in a community radio before joining Ligwalagwala. “This is my first award that shows my work. It is very special to me. I could not believe when my name was called out. I was very shocked, I only realised it was real when I sat down with it. I’m looking forward to next year and I will continue to work harder even more,” concluded Ntekati.
