Taxi drivers boycotting their bosses’ decision

This situation with taxis dangerously parked along the streets started a week ago with a misunderstanding between Kabokweni Taxi Association and the Top Star Taxi Association over long distance routes.

MBOMBELA – Taxi drivers seem to be boycotting their bosses’ agreement taken over the weekend as they continue to operate outside the Mbombela Taxi Rank causing chaos traffic jam and chaos near the Nelspruit Plaza.

“It’s a pity that the owners have agreed and in most cases they are not here, they don’t feel the pinch like we do,” said a driver who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of victimisation.

“It is even better for us to operate outside the rank because from there we can ferry passengers on long-distance routes without any hassle,” he added.
