Ngomane says this will assist in curbing road deaths and saving lives. He stated that drunk driving contributes to most fatal crashes across the country and the trend needed to change so that innocent people do not continue to needlessly lose their lives on the road.

He further said the department’s law enforcement officers will work together with the police to ensure that road crashes and crime levels are reduced during the holiday season.
“There should be harsh punishment and severe consequences to all those who drive while drinking because this has destroyed society and inflicted pains in many lives.”
