MWASA ready to restore dignity to young girls

"Our aim is to restore dignity to women, especially young girls because some of them are used by sugar daddies in terms of fulfilling their sexual desires in exchange of money,".

MBOMBELA – Medical Women’s Association of South Africa (MWASA) in the province is eager to restore dignity to young girls from disadvantaged communities so that they will not be tempted to date sugar daddies.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News, Dr Bongi Boloi from MWASA said they are busy visiting various schools around Kanyamazane and Pienaar, touching the lives of young girls.

“Our aim is to restore dignity to women, especially young girls because some of them are used by sugar daddies in terms of fulfilling their sexual desires in exchange of money. We must face reality, there are things that girls can’t live without just like sanitary towels, then they end up dating the sugar daddies so that they can get money to buy their needs. So far, we have been distributing sanitary towels in schools,” she said.

Baloi added that they are also giving career guidance talks to the learners as they are encouraging women into get in the field of medicine. “It’s our biggest wish to see young girls dominating in this field as much as we believe that when you teach a girl, you teach a nation. If they dominate in this field, it means that MWASA will grow even more,”.said Baloi
