BARBERTON – As part of building up safety campaigns for the festive season, the local police and Pienaar cluster station joined the High Destiny Operation.
This campaign is one of the kind as there are various activities that were conducted such as stop and search, raiding of illegal shebeens and non-compliance in liquor outlets were executed.
This publication also learnt that more than 20 people were arrested for various charges including possession of dagga, public drinking, house breaking and theft and 16 ticket fines issued for unroadworthy vehicles .
Const Tutu Nkosi indicated that thugs will no longer have a hiding place in this small town .
