Mec proposes tourism debates at schools

"As I believe that the young people will have an influence in their communities to promote domestic tourism,"

MAKOKO – Tourism is identified as the backbone of this province’s economy.
This was revealed by the MEC for Economic, Development and Tourism, Mr Eric Kholwane during his visit to this area when he donated school uniform to 65 pupils from various schools.

Kholwane emphasised that it was about time for learners to host school debates on tourism.
“It’s very important to start teaching our children about tourism. We are going to engage further with the department of education regarding this matter. As I believe that the young people will have an influence in their communities to promote domestic tourism,” he said.
