EFF provincial chairperson, Collen Sedibe said that Skhosana has been summarily suspended and will only be placed before the disciplinary committee on Monday.

Mpumalanga Economic Freedom Fighters secretary, Alfred Skhosana will face the national disciplinary committee on Monday at the party’s headquarters in Johannesburg.

On Tuesday it was reported that Skhosana had been expelled from the party for failing to fork out half of his salary to party levies for the next three months. However, EFF provincial chairperson, Collen Sedibe said that Skhosana has been summarily suspended and will only be placed before the disciplinary committee on Monday.

According to Sedibe, all 86 councilors in the province have complied with the 50 per cent party levy which will only run for three months and expected to pay 10 percent thereafter. “The system only detects nationally if everyone has complied. But the report we have so far is that all have contributed although there were some challenges experienced,” he said.

Meanwhile, the party’s deputy secretary would be acting on Skhosana’s position until his fate has been decided.
