Nothing in life will stop this baker

" At this stage, I am still mobile, but I don't limit myself by not aiming high as I am planning to have a cake shop where all people will have easy access to my products,"

HILLSVIEW – She started her baking business three years ago and recently she established her own company called Cake Style Bakers.
Nonhlanhla Mtsweni told Mpumalanga News that she never doubted her talent from the start when she decided to resign from Nedbank in 2013.

“I knew that this was a God-given talent and I knew from the onset that I was going to make it, even though I did not have any qualifications in baking or catering. I have learnt that as long as you love what you are doing, you can succeed in everything you do which is part and parcel of your career path,” she said.

Mtsweni recently walked away with the emerging entrepreneur of the year trophy during the awards ceremony that was hosted by the South African Council of Business Women at Emnotweni in Mbombela. She will represent the province in the national awards event in Pretoria.

“It was my first time to enter this competition and I was very happy when I was announced as the emerging entrepreneur in the provincial competition.

“I have learnt the biggest stumbling block for women is not to live their dreams, it is the fear of taking decisions and acting on them.

“I must say, it was not easy to start, but all I wanted was to be in business. I started small, but now I am doing very well and I am also moving into the transport industry. At this stage, I am still mobile, but I don’t limit myself by not aiming high as I am planning to have a cake shop where all people will have easy access to my products,” Mtsweni explained.
