BARBERTON – Criminals will no longer have a hiding place in this small town.
This comes after the station commander, Col Lindani Ndlovu and his members conducted a road block after they received a tip-off about a suspicious silver grey sedan coming from Matsulu to Barberton.
While the police were on the spot, the same vehicle came and they stopped it. Police requested to search it and they discovered a firearm and its serial number was filed off. It had a magazine inserted inside with eight live ammunition and one round on the chamber of the firearm, five live ammunition were found on one the suspects, Mr Ernest Ngomane.
The other suspects that were arrested with Ngomane for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition are Mr Zakhele Hlophe and Eliot Mazibuko.
