ZWELISHA – Police will be conducting a crime awareness campaign in this area this comes after the increasing number of rape cases that were reported at Pienaar police station.
Speaking to this publication, the spokesperson of the police Lt Jabu Ndubane said that they are worried about young girls who are gallavanting at night, especially during weekends because they are the victims of rape.
“Rape is increasing. We’d like to warn young girls not to party until late because they end up being raped.
In such cases we discover that the victims were under the influence of alcohol,”said Ndubane.
