Update: Mpumalanga election results 2016

In most municipalities the counting has been finalised. And also in Mbombela the counting is 100 per cent complete.

MBOMBELA –  In most municipalities the counting has been finalised. And also in Mbombela the counting is 100 per cent complete. The most recent figures are shown below.

Mbombela/ Umjindi Local Municipality – The ANC is currently leading with 70.76 per cent, followed by the DA on 12,86 per cent and the EFF on 9,41 per cent.

Thaba Chweu Local Municipality –  The ANC won the municipality with 62,03 per cent, with the DA on 24,21 per cent and the EFF on 7,32 per cent.

Nkomazi Local Municipality –  The ANC is leading with 82,86 per cent, with the EFF winning 10,04 per cent of the vote and the DA on 5,71 per cent.

Bushbuckridge Local Municipality – The ANC is in the lead with 69,46 per cent, BRA on 18,09 per cent and the EFF on 5,55 per cent.

Other parts of the province:

Victor Khanye Local municipality – The ANC triumphed with 65,08 per cent, followed by the DA on 20,85 per cent and the EFF on 9,99 per cent.

Emakhazeni – The ANC received the majority of the votes with 69,73 percent, followed by the DA with 17,64 per cent and the EFF winning 9,26 per cent of the vote.

Lekwa – The ANC won the municipality with 65,66 per cent, 16,37 per cent of the vote went to the DA and Civic Voice came in with 9,91 per cent.

Dipaliseng – The ANC received the majority of the votes with 76.16%, followed by the DA with 13.1% and the EFF with 3,94%.

South Africans went to the polls on Wednesday to vote for their local leaders. More than 26 million people were expected to vote in this year’s elections. The IEC started counting the votes last night.
