Pupils to learn more about life in prison

BARBERTON – It is that time of the year again where the department of community safety, security and liaison hosts learners from various schools to learn more about the hard life in prison.

Mpumalanga News learnt that tomorrow the MEC Vusi Shongwe will be leading learners to the Juvenile Prison to interact with offenders.

This initiative is part of the school safety campaign so that pupils will be aware that if you are involved in crime activities, you will end up behind bars.

It is believed that this project will play a role also in uprooting dagga ,nyaope and the carrying of dangerous weapons in schools as it is some of the things that are discovered by police in school bags when they are conducting random searches at various schools.
