Traditional leaders ready to host Voting Imbizo’s

Mpumalanga News learnt that recently traditional leaders will be hosting Voting Imbizos where all political parties will get an opportunity to get close with community members.

MBOMBELA – You can tell by the atmosphere that the local government elections are around the corner as political parties are busy campaigning.Mpumalanga News learnt that recently traditional leaders will be hosting Voting Imbizos where all political parties will get an opportunity to get close with community members.

This coming Monday the provincial chairperson of the House of Traditional Leaders, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena will officially open the Imbizos as his tribal authority will be hosting for the first time such an event.
“As a chairperson of the house, I will be hosting the Voting Imbizos under the Mathibela Tribal Authority.

It’s our first time to host such an event, but I would like to appeal to Abondabezitha that they must be neutral and not be biased as every political party must get equal treatment because we don’t want political violence and the political leaders must cooperate with us as Abondabezitha,” he concluded.

This publication also learnt that this initiative comes after the delegates from the IEC met with the traditional leaders committee last month where they elaborated about the role that is supposed to be played by traditional leaders in the forthcoming local government elections.
