Justice department addressing issues of racism

The meeting aims to provide South Africa with a comprehensive policy framework to address racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerances at both private and public level.

MBOMBELA-The deputy minister for the department of Justice and Constitutional development, Mr John Jeffrey will today host a provincial consultation on the draft National Action Plan (NAP) to combat issues of racial discrimination and related intolerances in the province.

“The meeting aims to provide South Africa with a comprehensive policy framework to address racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerances at both private and public level,” explains Mr Mthunzi Mhaga, spokesperson for the ministry of justice and correctional services.

“The Mpumalanga provincial consultation forms part of various engagements on the draft NAP that the department with its various partners is hosting countrywide.
The meeting will be held at the Greenway Woods Resort in White River from 08:30.
