Mayoral candidates announced
Mathonsi who also serves as the regional deputy chairperson, is one of the few current mayors in the province who are set to retain their positions after the polls.
MBOMBELA – The Mbombela Local Municipality’s executive mayor, Cllr Sibusiso Mathonsi will retain his mayoral position after the local government elections.
This was announced by his party, the ANC during a press conference organised at the January Che Masilela on Monday.
The local government elections will be held on August 3 as earlier announced by the country’s president, Mr Jacob Zuma.
