Pastors have a duty to guide young people

"They must not commemorate the day by partying, I believe that we have a duty as pastors to guide young people as much as we believe that they are the leaders of tomorrow,".

HHOYI -Young people in this area are expected to come in their numbers at Shalom Worship International Ministries
to grace the commemoration of June 16.
Speaking to this publication, Pastor Jerry Khoza alluded that as pastors they felt that there is a need to get closer to young people as the new generation don’t have vision.
“Our theme to for today is speaking with a purpose. The reason why we chose such a theme is because we have realised that our children are misdirected in life ending up doing immoral deeds on such an important day.

Young people are still faced with a lot of challenges in life as some of them even fall victim of domestic violence, “said Khoza.
He appealed to young people to remember the role that was played by the youth of 1976 and commemorate the day
in a good way.
“They must not commemorate the day by partying, I believe that we have a duty as pastors to guide young people as much as we believe that they are the leaders of tomorrow.

We have discussions where the youth will get a platform to voice out their challenges and we will try by all means to address those challenges,” concluded Khoza.
